If you have a client who cannot afford to pay for medications that are prescribed to treat their accident-related injuries, then the Healthmed card can definitely help them. The Healthmed card can be used at any major pharmacy to fill their generic prescriptions without any payment. Until their case is settled, Healthmed covers all of your client’s accident-related medication costs.

To register your client for the Healthmed program, you actually send in an enrollment form on their behalf. Collect all the necessary information for the enrollment form from your client, have them sign the lien and waiver section, and then submit the form via the Healthmed Attorney Portal. You will be notified when their enrollment is successfully processed.

You can print a copy of your client’s card for them or email it to them. Healthmed will also send a physical card in the mail to your client’s address.

If the completed Healthmed program enrollment submission is received during the business hours Monday through Friday, their card is activated within 24 hours. Enrollments that are submitted over the weekend may not be active until Monday. To verify that their card is active and ready to use, your client can call Healthmed at Phone: 310-498-1880.

If their card is not working, your client should call Healthmed at Phone: 310-498-1880 to find out what the issue is and get it resolved.

Yes, there is a preset limit on the Healthmed card. If your client surpasses their spending limit but their case is still not settled and they need more medication, they should call Healthmed at Phone: 310-498-1880 who will then contact you to authorize an increase.

Once the case has been settled, Healthmed will work with you to see if there are any potential savings for your client. Any relevant settlement requests can be submitted via email by you to the Healthmed collections department at contact@healthmedca.com.

Your client’s card does have an expiration date. If the expiration date passes but their case is still not settled and your patient needs more medication, they should call Healthmed at Phone: 310-498-1880 who will then contact you to authorize an extension.

Yes, the Healthmed card is for use on a variety of common generic pain and psych medications. Any prescriptions for medications that are not included in this group will not be approved by the pharmacy if your patient tries to use their Healthmed card to fill them.

Healthmed will email and/or fax over a copy to you of each of your client’s invoices approximately a week after their date of service.
